Are You Happy With Your Present Life?

I’m working on getting the older posts that I lost in a computer crash re-posted. I am hoping to re-post without re-sending them to you. If you get a couple of posts in one day, just delete or ignore (or read, smile). I am not trying to bomb you with a ton of posts!

**********

Do you like where you are in life right now?  Are you happy with the way things are going?  Or do you wish you could be living in a better place?  Leland and I are living the best we’ve ever lived.  We are walking in our dreams and God has been very good to us.

Now before you go thinking I’m taking the credit here – FORGET THAT!  All the glory goes to God.  All the credit, all the reason we are where we are, and all the honor goes to God.  Without Him, we wouldn’t be able to get out of town, much less get debts paid off.

blessings sign

The only reason God is able to bless us is faith.  Not that we are so faith-perfect but that faith opens to door for God to have access into our life.  He wants to be able to remove any burdens and destroy those irritating yokes.  Most important of all is that he desires to and to make us a walking testimony – a display – of His desire to bless people and prosper them.  He wants you to live well so that others may know His goodness.

One of the most important lessons we learned was the power of the words of our mouth.  I probably speak on this topic more than any other simply because most of us vomit out garbage when we open our mouths!  Harsh?  So is living the results of our wrong words.

word salvation

For faith to work, it has to be in two places – our heart and our mouth.  Today’s lesson is meant to open your eyes to something very vital – the word “salvation.”  The word salvation in Romans 10:10 carries these meanings (from Strong’s Concordance):  rescue or safety (physically or morally): – deliver, health, salvation, save, saving”  and (“safe”); to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): – heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.

So when you take the scripture in Romans 10:10, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” and have it only mean “to be saved” or “going to heaven” you cut off all those others meanings.

faith is

Let’s look at it this way, “for with the heart, man believes unto righteousness (right standing with God) and with (his own) the mouth, confession is made unto healing.”  Or, “confession is made unto doing well” or “confession is made unto being made whole in every area of life.”

In other words, when you believe, then you speak what you believe.  If you believe God wants you healed, then you will speak what He has to say about it – words geared toward health, not sickness.  Or finances – no matter what it looks like right now, if you will made your mouth speak unto “financial prosperity” things will begin to turn around.  God has a lot to say about financial prosperity – find those words and begin speaking them!

Why are Leland and I walking in the best times of our life?  Not because we’re so perfect or great but because God is.  Because God said in His word that He takes pleasure in my prosperity (Psalm 35:27).  Because God said that He wants me NOT to forget His benefits to me (Psalm 103) such as:

He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases
He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies
He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s

By obeying Him and lining our mouths up to agree with His words, we open the door for those words to come to pass in our lives.  We are where we are through His words.  Once we exchanged our wrong, negative words for His words, everything changed.

word words

In case you think, “It’s too hard to speak that way” stop and realize that you are already living the results of the words of your mouth.  If you don’t like those results, change what you are saying. (Matthew 12:34)

Remember, faith won’t even work for you if you don’t release it with the words of your mouth.  If you say nothing, you receive nothing.  If you speak God’s Word, you will receive what He promised.

It’s that simple!
