Are You Killing Your Future?

I can’t emphasis enough how important the words of your mouth are in your life. The Bible says that your words will bless you or curse you, prosper you or break you, keep you alive or help kill you. In this life, YOUR words will bring you through victoriously or YOUR words will cause you more trouble than ever.

It doesn’t matter if you believe that your words aren’t that important. It doesn’t matter if you believe that you can make bad statements such as, “If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all*, hahaha.” It doesn’t matter if you think, “Well, I’m just joking, lighten up, Nan!”

talking curses

It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not. It matters what GOD says and He says it matters.  He set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. He told YOU to choose LIFE. He says when you say something that is not life, it is a curse. We think cursing is when you say a “four-letter curse word” like “da*n” or “he*l – but that is not true.

Cursing is far more powerful than those words (although they are not something you really what to have in your life) – cursing is saying dead things, things not full of life, things not conducive to your well being and future. Do you know God told you to choose life for a reason? So you AND your children may live – implying a good life, full of prosperity, health, great relationships, etc.

The Bible talks about our enemy, the devil. Believe you me, the enemy does care what you say. He wants you to speak negatively. He wants you to speak doubt and unbelief. He wants you to speak death, destruction, destroying, thieving, and killing words. He wants to steal, kill and destroy your life, any way he can.

The enemy hears every word you say and then begins to work to bring the negative ones to pass in your life. It’s his job and he’s very good at it. All he has to do is get you to agree with his negative words and he has captured you through your mouth – – you’re snared by your words.

words blah

In The Message translation, Proverbs 18:21 states “Words kill, words give life; they are either poison or fruit – you choose.” That means dig into the Bible and find scriptures that say what God says. Find scriptures like “God always causes me to triumph (over adversity)”; God says, “You are an overcomer”, God says He will “teach you to profit” and also the “way to go”, will give you “witty ideas/inventions”, etc. (References below)

Say what God says. If the doctor says, “You have a bad disease and you’re going to die or will forget everything and everyone,” you say what God says. He says: “Look I sent Jesus to die on the cross so you don’t have to experience ANY disease. This is what I want you to speak about this factoid the doctor is trying to get you to accept and agree with. Just say 1 Peter 2:24, ‘By the stripes of Jesus, I AM HEALED.’ That is ALL I want you to say.”

And realize that you are not “going to be healed” – you are healed now. You received that right to be healed over 2000 years ago when Jesus died on the cross for you to have it. The devil is simply trying to steal that truth from you by bringing you sickness to accept. Don’t do it. DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD.

“This book of the law (scripture) shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.  Joshua 1:8 (RSV)

Short version? Say what God says and you’ll have success.
