I was going to engage in social media, giving an “opinion” on what’s been going on lately. But after I wrote the post, I got to the bottom of the page – and deleted it. God said in Titus 3:9… avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

God didn’t call me to give my opinion and Satan has always (and always will) stirred up division among people. He’s sneaky about how he does it, too – using social media for people to express their opinion. He knows that a house divided against itself will fall. 

There is a reason God requested me get off Facebook last year. I almost got caught again when I went over to Instagram the other to participate in a Giveaway. I hadn’t been on IG,in ages. Unfortunately I stayed there too long. I quickly got sucked into what was going on. Over an hour later, I also recalled WHY God said “get off” social media – ugh.

It’s easy to get caught up in what people are writing and commending on. It’s easy to “just check one thing” and an hour later discover you lost that hour – AND – you’re puffed up, angry and just know they need your opinion, too.

It’s easy to go the wrong direction and forget to check – is it really scriptural and is there scripture and verse in the Bible for what you (or others) are posting. Are you promoting that Spirit of Division (even innocently)? If you are not part of God’s solution, you are the problem.

There is no fixing the Spirit of Division outside of renewing your mind and outside of Jesus. There is no solution to racism outside of allowing God to change someone. inside out. 

As a young girl, I remember the shock of some of the media images on the 1965 Watts Riots in Los Angeles. At that time it was THE worst and costliest riot in history. It cost $40 million dollars in damages, etc. (converted to 2020 value is worth approximately $329,453,846 give or take a few dollars). Everyone then also had “the solution” ti this “racism problem” just like today.

Has anything changed since 1965? You’d hope so but recent events say nay. There is a reason – the only change in a man’s heart is JESUS. The only solution to man’s current problems is JESUS. The only thing we can give people is JESUS. No opinions.
