Do you realize so many scriptures are reciprocal (the opposite is also true)? The opposite is true in the above referenced scripture.

A perfect example is when my son was young and I had just married Leland. Yes, we went to church. Yes. we watched Christian videos and television. Yes, we prayed and read the Bible. Yes, he knew Jesus as his Savior. BUT.

He got hooked on watching funny wrestling shows. When he saw Leland, he saw someone to play with, to attack, to wrestle. That’s all he wanted to do.

Why? Because that is what he began filling himself with. They weren’t bad shows. He just watched too many. That’s what he filled his Spirit with.

I finally saw the truth. Faith (in God) comes by filling yourself with the Word of God.

Years later, I recently had a sickness attack I didn’t understand. I looked it up online. I studied the symptoms, causes and cures. One day, God pointed out that I was beginning to know more about the sickness (the devil’s word) than I knew about His Word about healing.

He actually said to me, “Faith in sickness and disease comes by hearing (and studying) YouTube podcasts and reading medical journals.”  I saw it. I was beginning to feel the symptoms of sickness were escalating. God showed me why.

I was filling my Spirit with the words of the devil. Those words were beginning to take over the Word of God that was in me about God’s healing. Those words became louder than God’s words. Sickness began to take over.

All sickness comes from the devil. His job is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10a). Period.  He tries to convince you that “THIS” particular sickness is incurable. That sickness is OK to mess around with; you don’t need God’s Word. 

Umm, didn’t the Bible say he is the father of LIES**?

p.s. But until you know that you know that you know God’s Word is true about healing and have confidence in it, don’t mess around. While re-filling yourself with God’s Word about healing, go to the doctor if you need to.
