God in the Boonies #1

I lost my Internet which is why I didn’t send a recent post. I was typing away when my Internet suddenly quit working. This was a month-old brand new modem replacing my former one killed by a lightening strike a month ago.

A technician came back then and when the new modem he brought didn’t seem to work, discovered the line from the road to the house had been chewed on by squirrels. Water had gotten in the line. He replaced the line.

So with a month-old modem and a new line, I should not have had any problems now. I walked over to the new modem and noticed all lights were on except the Internet light. I did the required “turn off, wait, then turn on again”. Nothing.

Then my landlord came up to tell me the bad news. He had  ordered a dump truck load of gravel for the driveway. After delivery, the driver started to leave and suddenly raised the bed of the truck straight up. The bed tore out my new Internet line broke the line in half and threw it into the main road.

I couldn’t get a technician to come for several days because they were busy. Horrors, no internet! OK, OK I survived. Discovered reading books again!

He put in a new line, up even higher than the former new line. Secured it better. Said things like this happened all the time.

This event got me to thinking how God has always made sure I had the best Internet in the strangest places (in the country, in the “boonies”). I watch my church online so I need good Internet. I asked God 19 years ago (in 2006) to always provide me with solid and fast Internet.

He has so supernaturally done just that. That was my latest post, about His provision in 6 moves. BUT, I will send it later this week. This is last weeks post. I don’t want this to be so long you fall asleep!

God is GOOD.
