God Is Always For You

Philippians 3:13-14  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Do you know that God is always for you and that He is always on your side?

Do you know there is NOTHING you can do to make Him not love you? There is nothing you will ever do that will make Him turn His back on you.

If you make a huge mess of your life, He loves you. If you make the biggest mistake on earth, He will make a way out for you and forgive you.

The above verse tells you something very important – verse 13, FORGET THE PAST! Forget everything that went before, even if it happened an hour ago. It’s behind you.

Also, sinning is simply “missing the mark”. Paul said that he presses toward the things that are before him. Mark means a goal. He is saying that he is reaching toward the goal (of what Jesus died for).

So if you miss the mark, you miss the goal. You miss Jesus’ standard. Just repent – ask God to forgive you – He will and so you begin again with a clean slate. It is as if you never missed it.

1 John 1:9 (TPT)  But if we freely admit our sins when His light uncovers them, He will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just, to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and He will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Telling God you missed it isn’t the first time He ever heard of it. He knew all along. So freely admit you messed up and ask Him to forgive you. He will – and makes you clean again.

That’s it. That’s all you have to do (of course, you DO have to mean it). He loves you unconditionally. He forgives you freely, every time. He restores you as if you never missed it. He never brings it up again. Your job is NOT to bring it up again, either.

Accept His Love and Freedom. It belongs to you.

  1. So good. When I’m reminded of past sins, I immediately thank God for His mercy and forgiveness… that my past is under the blood. It certainly isn’t God reminding us… He forgot it, so I rejoice and give praise to God, thus kicking the devils’ butt. ?
