Luke 16:25a (AMPC) – But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime…”
Many times you hear people say things like, “I must be losing my mind, haha”. It may be said as a joke, but it is a wrong thing to say if you want to retain your focus and ability to think!
First of all, the Bible states in 1 Corinthians 2:16b – “…But we have the mind of Christ”. Jesus doesn’t ever lose His mind.
Then I read an author, “The brain is simple a physical orgam the mind operates through. The mind is part of my inward being (your Spirit, who you are) and the mind never grow old.”
In Luke 16:25a, Abraham is talking to a man who is in hell. The man asked Abraham to tell Lazarus to dip his finger in water and cool his tongue because he was suffering. Lazarus was a person he wasn’t nice to when they were alive. The man was still the same person he was on earth, selfish.
What is important is that Abraham said to the one in hell, “Remember…” which means that even in hell, this man could remember. He still had his memories. He still had his mind.
People agree with the devil when they make jokes about aging and losing their mind. They think it’s funny to say they “had a brain fart” or “a senior moment”. They open the door and invite satan to come in and steal, kill and destroy their ability to remember and think correctly. (John 10:10a)
When you agree with God and His Word, when you believe, think and talk right by speaking only what He says, you find you don’t forget words, scriptures, or memories. Nothing you need to say or remember is forgotten.
Proverbs 6:2 (APMC) – “… you are trapped by your own words…” which goes along with:
Proverbs 18:21 (AMPC) – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]”
If you find yourself forgetting things like ordinary words, if you have even one second of memory disfunction, IMMEDIATELY REBUKE SATAN. Then begin speaking out scripture.
Begin confessing that you have the mind of Christ and He doesn’t have any memory problems. Confess it daily or more. Find scripture that back’s up your stand of Faith.
Also, God sent the Holy Spirit to you as, “… the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby)…” and “… He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance)…” (John 14:26, AMPC)
God gave you is the ability to remember everything you need to.

Great reminder!
