God NEVER Changes

(So a miracle: I received favor – the landlady meant to say I had until the end of March to move, not end of February. A little over a month and a half to move, not 30 days. Phew. Still packing and preparing for what God has for me)

There used to be a television commercial that said something like, “Everything tastes better when it sits on a Rit$” (you can probably figure out this cracker’s name.

Most people know nowadays that nothing really sits better on the Rit$ because the Rit$ breaks or crumbles. Trying to put cream cheese on it – break. Something as soft as creamy peanut butter? Crumble.

Obviously the formula has changed, not only for the Rit$ cracker, but most other brands, too. It is most aggravating.

That’s the wonderful thing about God. HE NEVER CHANGES.

Since the landlady told me she was selling the house, God immediately reminded me of ALL the times I’ve been here before. There have been about 5-6 incidents over the course of my adult life. He reminds me of a different one each time.

I had a landlady who’s husband sold her trailer out from under her, then left her to tell me (less that a month BEFORE CHRISTMAS, with an 8 year old) that I had 30 days to move. I had another one who needed the home back because her daughter suddenly needed a place to live. Yep, 30 days to move.

A particularly nasty incident, I was living temporarily in a semi-nasty little house when Josh was a 2 year old. I was waiting for the paperwork for the FHA house I was buying.

The landlady found out I was buying a house and threw the major of all fits. She screamed at me, called me names, then threw me out. Thank God I knew she had to give me 30 days notice.

Many miracles got me in that FHA house – a month before closing. I’ll tell you more details later.

The point today is that God keeps reminding me that HE NEVER CHANGES. If He’s done something for me before, He’ll do it again.

He has rescued me many times from the exact situation. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. There isn’t one time He didn’t come through. There isn’t one time He failed me. There isn’t one time He was late and said, “Oops, My Holy Bad.”

Since He keeps reminding me of all the times He has taken care of me, do you think He’s trying to tell me something? Something like, I’ve never been homeless or He’s never forsaken me? How about the fact that He supplies everything I need, always?

I can’t wait to see how He helps me out this time!
