Mathew 17:20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Mark 10:27  And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Luke 1:37  For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Luke 18:27  And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Today Leland sent me a text about a quote Henry Ford quoted, ““Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right”. That got me to thinking about another quote from Mr. Ford:

“One time when Henry Ford was asked if he didn’t stand to lose a great deal of money if certain things went wrong, he said that one should not think about things going wrong:

“’You must never, even for a second, let yourself think that you can fail,” said Mr. Ford. “Our first principal is that failure is impossible… if you shut out of your mind the possibility of being licked (defeated), then you are bound to win.’”

This quote reminded me of the scriptures listed above about how nothing is impossible with God. This quote also aligns with the Bible and God saying we should have faith. It also means nothing is impossible to us if we trust God and let Him make our impossibilities possible.

Then I thought, “Well, just how impossible is the possible? What impossibilities can I believe God for?”

The scriptures make it clear that failure is impossible for us – IF we believe. Anything the world (unbelieving ones) says is impossible God says is possible.

I remember Joshua 10:12 where God made time stand still (sun and moon) so the Israelites could win the war. “The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and it did not set as on a normal day”. I’d say that was impossible.

Then you have Hezekiah (2 Kings 20:8-11) who wanted proof God would heal him. Long story short, God moved the shadow on the sundial backwards 10 steps – moved time backwards, then forward again. In both instances, God ruled time. Time was created by God therefore time is accountable to God. Another impossibility.

Just one example in my life – mom and I were standing in her backyard, talking about the weather. I said, “I better get home before it rains.”  She replied that it was not supposed to rain; that it was supposed to be drought-like conditions.

Now my mom’s house was on a road behind my house and road. I would walk up a field to get to her house (or drive around the block). I told her that drought is not of God and we were NOT gong to have drought on our land. I also told her that Leland constantly said, “We always have rain on our land.”

She argued with me. I argued with her (mothers and daughters). Then we looked down the field. It had begun pouring rain, coming halfway up the field. In other words, it rained to the border of MY property. It stopped right there and from my border to her house, no rain.

No, I wasn’t smug. I was awed. We both were, It only rained on my property. Needless to say, it changed us both. Just like Jesus said in Matthew 9:29 – “…according to your faith, be it unto you.”

So what impossible things do you believe God can do for you, with you, around you? It’s time to start thinking about those impossible dreams you have. Like Henry Ford stated, “…failure is impossible… if you shut out of your mind the possibility of being licked (defeated), then you are bound to win.”

Nothing is impossible with God. Nothing. DREAM BIGGER!
