First off, pardon me while I take a moment to say: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LELAND LOYD. I WIN. And no, you can’t say you haven’t seen this yet.

But–to use the words of Scripture–we speak of THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN NOR EAR HEARD, and which have never entered the heart of man: ALL THAT GOD HAS IN READINESS FOR THEM THAT LOVE HIM. (1 Corinthians 2:9, Weymouth)
God has prepared an extraordinary life for those who love Him. Unfortunately so many of us don’t know that so we don’t even talk to Him about this life. We miss out on so much simply because we don’t know – or we don’t know what the Bible promises us (or believe we have a good life planned for us).
Another thing we do is mess around like we have all the time in the world on this earth. Yet do you have any idea how many people have regrets on their death bed? We sometimes focus on unimportant little things in life rather than find out what God wants us to do and what He wants to do for us.
I heard a minister say that we are a generation of maintainers. I like to think of it as Maintenance Workers. We maintain our cars, our yards, our house, our hair, our bodies, and a myriad of other details. We are so focused on maintenance in our lives that we don’t have time for God.
Our biggest mistake is that we don’t ASK GOD. Below I am listing a handful of scriptures that encourage us to ask, and in the case of Jesus, He told us to. We might be surprised at what we discover if we just ask Him what He wants for us.

Scriptures for Asking
Matthew 7:7; 7:11; 18:19; 21:22
John 14:13; 15:7; 16:23
That is really good, we get busy with life and forget to ask God or even set aside time to spend with Him.
The enemy loves our “busy-ness”. Thanks for this reminder.
Happy Anniversary to you and Leland! Darrel and I just had our 49th wedding anniversary last month. God is good!!
