I bring this up because I was studying Matthew 12:35, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: …”.  A recent book I read stated, “Your future is literally stored up in your heart.

As I read that it’s like God brought that commercial back to my mind – “it’s in there”. The Word of God is stored up in your (spiritual) heart during your reading and study time. It’s in there!

If that Word in in your heart, then “it’s in there”. When you need it, it’s in there, available. For example, let’s say you’ve been studying the scriptures about healing. You read them, they get stored up in your heart, and when you are attacked by sickness, it is available.

Available for what, you ask? Available (as faith) to pull out and use against the devil. He comes to attack. you pull out the Word stored up in your heart and use it against him.

How? You speak. You speak what is stored in your heart (not the sickness) and you say, “Oh NO, devil. You can’t put sickness on me. The Word is IN ME and I use it against you right now.”

Then you quote those scriptures you stored up in your heart like 1 Peter 2:24, “By whose (Jesus’) stripes (whip marks), I was healed” and Exodus 15:26, “God is the one who heals me!”

There are many scriptures to put “in there”. You put in healing scriptures, financial scriptures, relationship scriptures, love scriptures. You store them up in abundance until the ONLY words that come out of your mouth are God’s words.

As long as IT’S IN THERE, you have faith available to use against any attack the enemy sends your way.
