God and Dashboard Lights

When you drive down the street in your vehicle and a light comes on your dash – like the one that says “low fuel”, what do you do?  If you ignore it, you will run out of gas and be stuck, stopped still, wherever that happens.

If many lights come on and you ignore them, eventually your car will begin to break down.

I am sure we all wish we had something in our personal lives as obvious as dashboard lights

Well, guess what? WE DO.

The Holy Spirit is there to shine light akin to dashboard lights.

John 16:7 (AMP) calls the Holy Spirit our… “… Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor -Counselor, Strengthener, Standby [ready to help])”.  He is our Friend, He warns us, teaches us things we need to know, and is everything we need to be a success in life.

John 14:26 (NIV) But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name (Jesus), will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (If you don’t read your Bible, you will have nothing in you that Jesus said. Then the Holy Spirit can’t remind you.)

Joh 16: (TPT) – Jesus is talking here:

13  But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, He will unveil the reality of every truth within you (better read your Bible so you have Truth in you). He won’t speak His own message, but only what He hears from the Father, and He will reveal prophetically to you what is to come.
14  He will glorify Me on the earth, for He will receive from Me what is Mine and reveal it to you.

Our “dashboard lights” – the Holy Spirit – can sometimes be warning us to go back and do something we forgot to do. He warns of danger – and not just those deer in the road

In my case, He especially reminds me of things God asked me to do that I neglected to. I gave Him permission to please remind of this.  Sometimes He warns me I am about out of time to obey. He even reminds me to exercise and drink my water. Why that? Again I gave Him permission to remind me. I need Someone to remind me to obey. I want to live a long and healthy life.

He is what John: 14:26 says He is! Get to know Him personally!

  1. He that hath ears, let him hear. Sooooo good, Nan. We must seek and tweek that inner knowing that the Holy Spirit is speaking and be quick to be obedient. It takes a conscious effort to listen and hear. ❤️
