The day my landlady told me she was selling the house (February 7) , I prayed with her that the house would sell supernaturally quickly. God had done that for Leland and me, so I knew He could do that.
She has been very good to me these past almost two years (right after Leland moved to heaven). I told her God would do this because of Genesis 12:3a, “I will bless those who bless you…”
The realtor listed the house on February 10 with the proviso they could not view just yet because there was a renter. I had too many boxes and containers around. They were a trip hazard (I tripped). Besides, who wants to see a packing mess when looking at a house?
I finally got the house halfway decent and told the landlady they could show the house on Monday. I did not realize this would be on President’s Day. There were 6 groups of people on that Monday.
THE HOUSE SOLD IN ONE DAY. Wouldn’t you call that supernaturally quickly? Remember. even though she listed it 10 days before, no one could view it until the 20th. Hey, even 10 days would be supernatural!
Now I’m human. I wasn’t really whining. I just had a slight thought, small voiced, “What about me?” Then I repented. I was thrilled at the obvious Hand of God and for my landlady.
Then in the middle of the night (as usual. The other place is on the… sorry… toilet. I think it is because He has a captive audience). Anyway, God reminded me of Job.
And the LORD turned (restored) the captivity (exile; with a former state of prosperity) of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. (KJV Job 42:10)
Praying for others took my mind off ME. And what He’s done for others, He’ll do for me (and you). I am expecting to see His Hand, His provision, His love for me. GOD said He would do this.
I’m also praying for YOU, people who read these devotionals. I consider you my friends. I expect God to do GREAT things for you. If you want specific prayer, leave it in the comment section and I will pray for you.
I believe your new residence will be revealed speedily. Thank you, Father, for meeting Nan’s every need and making a way where there seems to be no way… right on time in Jesus’ name.
He’s moving!
It has been quite a while since I commented. I am sorry. I have been out here just quiet. I cannot believe it has been two years since your Alpha Hubby passed. I do miss your posts about him on littleblackdressdiaries.com. I do hope you are okay. Please pray for finances for me. I am looking for a new and better job. I agree with you about a new place to live. Merz
