HE who dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord: He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! (Psalm 91:1-2 AMPC)
Most of us grew up attending Sunday School. One of the most thrilling stories we learned was about the three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Because they would not bow down and worship a statue of the King, they were thrown in a fiery pit (Daniel 3, go read it).
One important point is that when those three went into the pit, the presence of God went with them. They were in the Secret Place. They were surrounded, protected as if they were inside a protective bubble. Nothing could touch them.
Some don’t realize that those stories from the Bible are not fables, fairy tales or make believe. They really happened. We need to realize that these are stories showing how well God can protect us because He delivered people from incredible odds against them.
We have the same protection available to us. We have the same right to be tucked into the Secret Place. While most of us don’t live in places where people are thrown in fiery pits, we do live in times of nuclear threats, chemical warfare, shootings, vehicular homicide, gang wars, etc.
God can and will do whatever He needs to, to do whatever it takes, to make and keep us safe. He is not limited by anything – except us. We limit God through doubt (unbelief) and fear. He cannot work with doubt and fear. He can only work with FAITH, our faith in Him.
If you find fear being a constant in your life, get in the Bible and get to know your God. Dwelling (living) in that Secret Place means staying there by putting God’s Word into your heart. Read your Bible because it will help you develop the faith to dwell (Romans 10:17)!
Study how God protected people in the past. Study Psalm 91 over and over until you believe it more than you believe fear. Study John 15:7.
Also, just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said of the Lord, “Our God will deliver us” and He did – YOU say of the Lord, too. Say, “He is MY refuge. He is MY fortress. He will deliver me! I trust Him!”

That is really good. This day and time is something I never thought I would see in our country. It is most important that I have that protection all the time and that I can apply it over all that concerns me and family. Thank you Father.
GLORY to God for His hand of protection, always!
