Before I Ask

Once I got moved from Texas to Arkansas I (we) began the hunt for a place to live. I shouldn’t have even thought twice about it – God had me covered from the very beginning.

Since I sat in my bathroom talking to God after leaving the hospital on April 8, 2021, trying to bargain with Him about coming on to heaven, too, there have been so many miracles. Once I made the decision to live and to “live a supernatural life” and kick the Spirit of Grief to the curb, God has overwhelmed me with His love and goodness.

I’ll tell the house story today.

I was staying at my son’s house. It’s never ideal to stay with your children (smile). I had been looking at properties. His girlfriend Shea had been looking at properties. Josh had been looking at properties.

All the places I was looking at were NAWSTY. And way too small. I have two storage units with my household items. The enemy was trying to get me to panic with, “Where are you going to live? How are you going to pay for it? What are you going to do? What ARE you going to do?”

One day Shea texted and said that she thought she’d found a place. It was in a small town nearby (an area I like). It was 1200 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, storage building in back. It was the exact price range I was looking for.

Here’s the Holy Spirit kicker. She had called the place the day after Leland died. No one ever answered the phone. The listing disappeared so she figured it had rented.

On April 26 (12 days after I arrived here), the lady who had the listing called Shea and said she was just getting to her voicemails. She asked if Shea was still interested in the house.

It “seems” the other renters who wanted the property changed their mind but “forgot” to tell the landlady.

I put those words in quotes because it was more the Holy Spirit holding and hiding the place FOR me. The place is nice enough that it would have been snapped up had anyone known it was still available.

After talking to Shea, the woman wanted me to come see it. She stated that if I liked it, it was mine. Of course, it was a match made in heaven, both house and landlady.

The place is large enough for everything. Freshly painted, and neat and clean. Plenty of storage space for stuff. Quiet location and – just God.

I have truly experienced Isaiah 65:24. It’s happening to me all the time. He is taking such good care of me and all I have to do is believe and receive.

Isaiah 65:24 (NLT) (God said…) I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

The miracles are flowing so quickly that I have to write them down. I don’t want to forget any of them.

Since I told God that I choose to live a supernatural life, He has met me with the supernatural. This is just one.

  1. I used to read your blog at work and I was excited to find out Brother Moore was your pastor! I listen to several of his teachings over and over and over! When I left my job, my new job didn’t give me the freedom to do anything extra like read my favorite blogs. I’ve been trying to find this blog again … and then I remembered! Nan had another blog! I did a little searching and through the other blog, found this! But I also saw that Leland has gone home to Jesus and I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m happy for him and Jesus to be reunited in person, but I’m very sad that it was this soon.

This particular blog on your new home is meaningful to me because my family is waiting for God to show us where to go and how to find that place! This scripture is perfect and so is your testimony of it.

I’m so glad I found your blog again! I’ll be praying for you as you get through this new territory.
