Check Your Mouth When You’re Sick

Sometimes what we are saying (and believin) keeps us dealing with sickness that never seems to go away. God’s Word is always good so it can’t be with Him.

My son, pay attention to what I am saying; incline your ear to My Words; they are life and health and medicine to all your flesh.  Proverbs 4:20, 22 (CJB and AMP)

When you speak anything but what God says, His Word, your words are out of harmony with God’s; you are disagreeing with God!

Amo 3:3  “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”  You can’t truly walk with God unless you agree with God. Agreeing with God is simply saying the same thing God says.

When you freak out and begin saying anything contrary to what God says (like “I can’t get healed”, “I can’t pay my bills”, “I can’t keep believing because nothing is happening so I give up”), you are not walking with God

Not walking with God means He can’t help you. He can’t heal you, prosper you, answer prayer, or anything else He has promised you. You are not in faith.

Faith pleases God.  Hebrews 11:6  “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is (exists), and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” You have to seek and believe.

You must be in faith and stay in faith and always speak faith (Why? Because you believe. Anything else is doubt.)

Pay attention to God’s Word and speak what He does. There is life in His words.

Titus 1: 2 tells us God cannot lie. If He cannot lie; then we can know that everything He tells us is true!

We have what God has promised us, even before we are able to see that thing come to pass. Because He cannot lie.

Pro 5:1-2 (CJB)  My son, pay attention to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding; so that you will preserve discretion and your lips keep watch over knowledge.

Hebrews 10:23  Let us hold fast (don’t let go) the profession (confession) of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)

Matthew 12:37  For by your words you shall be healed, and by your words you shall be sick.

Pro 4:20-27 (KJV) – God said:

My son (or daughter), attend to My Words; incline thine ear (pay attention) unto My sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health and medicine to all their flesh.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues (forces) of life.
Put away from thee a froward (false, crooked) mouth, and perverse (turned aside from God’s Word) lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established (in the Word).
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
