Recently in prayer, the Lord spoke to me and asked, “Do you have dominion?“

I replied, “Yes, Lord.”

“Then look like it!” He said.

Your appearance must not be sad, depressed, or defeated.

Again the Lord asked, “Do you have dominion?“

I replied, “Yes, Lord.”

He said, “Then talk like it!“

Your speech reveals either dominion or defeat.

Again the Lord asked, “Do you have dominion?“

I replied, “Yes, Lord.”

“Then walk like it!” He said.

Keep your shoulders high and walk with victory in every step! (Why? Because you DO have the victory!)

The original meaning of dominion includes: to subjugate; prevail against, reign over, make to rule over.  Both of the words power and authority mean dominion – authority over. When you have authority, you’re the BOSS.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over…

Matthew 10:1  And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Luke 9:1  Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power (literally means authority) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power (meaning his ability) of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
