LIDT: Know God’s Will

1 Thessalonians 5:18  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

John 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Are you really thankful? Even if that scripture sounds like you give thanks at and for the worst times of your life?  Well, good news! You DON’T give God thanks FOR problems.

Jesus made a way for you to defeat problems. You DON’T thank God for sickness and disease. Jesus already bore it. You DON’T thank God you’re facing danger. You’ve got angels and The Blood. You DON’T thank God for anything the devil did or comes up with.

You give thanks that God always delivers you and He will deliver you from your situation. Thank God He always causes you to triumph so you WILL triumph in everything. Thank God you are more than a conqueror. Thank God He has already made you an overcomer so you will overcome whatever you’re facing.

If you are facing something contrary to God’s will? The very first thing you do – WATCH YOUR WORDS. They are the most important thing to determine which way what you’re facing goes.

Go find the scripture that will tell you what God’s will is about what you’re facing. Then you speak those words, not destruction – the devil’s words.  God wants to deliver you, heal you, protect you, provide for you, and everything good – because God is always good.

You can give thanks because everything contrary to God’s will is temporal (temporary) and is subject to change. If you KNOW everything you’re facing is temporary – then you can be thankful. Why? Because faith in God will bring about the change you desire.

That’s something to really be thankful for!
