“…and of the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: (Hebrews 11:31-35a)

Several years ago there was a lot of excitement in the natural world about a series of children’s books based on magic, wizards and wizardry. Now days there is an even more increased interest in the supernatural. There are more television series and books out now based on evil like vampires, wizards, demons, witches, and yes:
stalking, walking zombies.
Supernatural – people are hungry for it. Hollywood is giving it to them – but not God’s way.
Just check out Hebrews 11:31-35(a) as an example. I think subduing kingdoms, stopping the enemy armies, and receiving the dead raised to life again sounds like a supernatural way of living to me. And there’s no gagging, bloody scenes to deal with. No darkness, no death, no fear. God is all about life and Light!
Do you know that you can walk in the supernatural realm and supercede this natural world? You can be a … Faith Walker!
In Habakkuk 2:4 God declares that “the just shall live by his faith.” Nothing has changed since that was declared. Romans 1:17 and Galatians 3:11 also say we will live by faith, and Hebrews 10:38, “the righteous person will live by faith.” It is pretty obvious that God is trying to get this fact across to us.
As born again Christians, we are to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). The problem has always been that we are trained growing up to see in the natural realm via our five-physical senses and our circumstances, rather than focusing on the supernatural realm – or God’s way of doing things via faith.
To do that, first we have to learn that we have two realms to live in. One is the natural, where most people live. In the Bible, that natural realm had people who dealt in the supernatural. The problem with that is where they got their power from – and it was never God and never for good.
We have to learn how to walk in the realm that brings us the power that counts – the supernatural power of God. That is not to be mistaken for the enemy’s supernatural.
The enemy’s supernatural realm is always inferior to God’s ways. Magicians couldn’t interpret Pharoah’s dream so Joseph had to come tell him what God had to say (Genesis 41:8). In the time of Moses and Aaron, the magicians were always incapable of topping what God did, and if you recall, they were couldn’t stand before Moses because they were covered with the boils while Moses wasn’t (Exodus 9:11)!
King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 1:20 found that Daniel and his crew were “in all matters of wisdom and understanding that the king inquired of them …found to be ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.” Ten times wiser and ten times more “full” of understanding.
In Daniel 2:9-11 you find that the king commanded his magicians, astrologers, sorcerers, and Chaldeans (who were professional astrologers) to tell him what he had dreamed. They replied that it “was no man who could tell him except ‘the gods’.” Then along comes Joseph, God’s man of the hour, who told the king what he dreamed.
Jesus said we can do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Let’s review for a minute. At a wedding, He had servants fill up barrels with water that supernaturally turned to wine on its way to the table. Twice Jesus took a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish and fed 5,000+ men, not counting the women and children who were also fed. He walked on water. He healed the blind, lame, sick, raised the dead, supernaturally stuck a cut-off ear back on a soldier’s head, and told the woman of Samaria at the well “all things” she’d ever done (John 4:29).
Have you done any of these things lately? You can. You can be a Faith Walker! First make sure Jesus is your Lord and Saviour. Then read your Bible (listen to faith-based teaching via ministers, CDs, DVDs, read faith-based books) to build up your faith (Romans 10:17) and then obey John 2:5, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
The Bible says that you can receive according to your faith. If you have trouble believing, simply build up your ability to believe – get in that Word of God.
Soon you will be walking in God’s supernatural realm and it will become normal to you. Nothing is impossible with God. Believe that –
You have His Word on it!
Awesome!
