I woke up at 0200 hours this morning – 2:00 a.m. Believe me, I don’t normally do this. I had been thinking about the recent things going on in the Elections and asking God about certain choices people in authority made. 

Those of you who keep up with the election results with its obvious fraud (hello? Caught on video anyone?) and the fact it looks like evil prevails because those in authority seem not to do right but instead break the law? When I woke up at 2:00 a.m., I couldn’t get back to sleep so I asked God about the recent SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) decision not to get involved.

Rather than answer that question specifically, the reply was “SCOTUS IS NOT GOD”. I laid there thinking, “WHAT? What does that mean, SCOTUS is not God?”  Then , “People put their hope, trust and faith in things that are not ME.”

If we put our faith in anything “saving” us except God Almighty, we are not going to be at peace if that “anything” fails us. People are fallible – God is NEVER fallible. Fallible – capable of making mistakes or being erroneous. God never makes mistakes and God is never wrong.

We can put so much faith in those in authority to do the right thing and make right choices. We can put our faith in judges to make right choices, Governors to make right choices, Mayor’s to make right choices. 

And the truth is – none of those people are God Almighty – so why are we putting so much faith in believing they can’t be fallible? Yes, the Supreme Court could have at least made the choice to listen.  They did not. Judges could have made right decisions. They did not. Governors, mayors, and others is authority seemingly failed us.

Does this mean “doom on us”? Does it mean we’ve lost? Does it mean “give up”.  Does it mean to freak out and scream, “Oh my gosh, the sky is falling*?” NO IT DOES NOT. 

No. If we will put our faith in God and not an institution or people, we will remember the many scriptures where God says, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU. And He also promises that while Vengeance is His, we are always taken care of.  We just have to choose to trust God.

And we will remember the many scriptures that talk about those who made choices against righteousness are making choices against God. And they do not come to a good end. They perish. We don’t rejoice in that, but we can understand that they will not get away with it.

Psalm 42:5  Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.”  DON’T BE DOWN. PUT YOUR TRUST, HOPE AND FAITH IN GOD. The best is yet to come.
