Sunday I heard an amazing sermon. The main point kind of goes with last Thursday’s theme, “With or Without Him“. The sermon was “With Him” and the minister mentioned a handful of people. I want to share a little here.

It starts with Genesis 39:2-3  The LORD was WITH Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was WITH him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand.  

Genesis 39:21-23   But the LORD was WITH Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor, in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

 V 22  And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. 

V 23  The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the LORD was WITH him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper. 

Joshua 1:5; 9  No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was WITH Moses, so I will be WITH you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 

V 9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is WITH you wherever you go.

Act 10:38  … how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was WITH Him. 

The only mention of the word Emmanuel in the Bible is in Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

In Acts 10:34b Peter said, ” …  I perceive that God is no respecter of persons”

In other words, God does not show favoritism. If He did something good for ONE person in the Bible, He will do it for YOU. After all, you are the apple of His eye and God IS with you!

Believe that and you can’t fail.
