Fear. Fear is a powerful thing – but only if you allow it. I read this week where a doctor said that “FEAR” is spreading faster than the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and causing more damage. Fear is never for you; it is always against you. It has NEVER helped anyone but instead causes harm (Psalm 37:8).

Considering that in the United States the Center for Disease Control (CDC) posts the known stats daily during the week (updated after 4:00 p.m.), and those stats are NO WHERE near what the public believes (one stated 80,000) – it is important to FEAR NOT. Don’t believe everything you see or hear. 

What does God have to say about this virus? Well, fear does not come from God. He cannot use fear because there is no fear in heaven. So, this virus IS NOT FROM GOD OR PUNISHMENT FROM GOD OR JUDGEMENT FROM GOD. It is simply a tool of the enemy to get people into fear (remember John 10:10? The enemy comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy).

Fear works, as evidenced by the insane shopping frenzy going on out there for everything from food to bullets. The enemy works through fear just like God works through faith. When feelings of fear, anxiety, worry and torment start to rise up in you, declare God’s Word (linked below) instead of screaming, “Oh my gosh, I’m going to get the virus and die!!”.

How do you get enough faith to get the fear out of your life, feelings, and mind? Romans 10:17 answers that, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” In other words, spend time in your Bible, reading scriptures on whatever topic you need – healing, finances, relationships, fear. Listen to excellent faith-based teaching (flcbranson.org, teachers on YouTube: Creflo Dollar Ministries (especially current year), Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Jesse Duplantis etc).

It is important what you listen to (and watch) – so no fear-based news shows, opinions (social media) or headlines online. ONLY fill your spirit up with faith,

Ephesians 6 says that you have a shield of faith to protect you from the enemy’s attacks, including fear (and viruses).

NO FEAR HERE!  Trust God. Have Faith in His Word, not the word of everyone else out there. If it isn’t in the Bible for you, don’t believe it. The only “catch” is that you must believe. Believe what the Bible says.
