One of my favorite scriptures is 2 Corinthians 4:13 (TPT) “We have the same Spirit of faith that is described in the Scriptures when it says, ‘First I believed, then I spoke in faith.’ So we also first believe then speak in faith.”
When we are in the middle of trouble or when we need something, we often sit around WAITING for God to act. That’s a good way to get our booties kicked. Truth is, God is waiting for us to act.
One of the ways we act is to believe then say. We say what God says. We say what Jesus gave us authority for. Then we TAKE that authority. How? Say so. Remind the devil YOU have the authority and he has to flee, run away (James 4:7)
Jesus died for us to have power and dominion – authority. Our job is to put devil-instigated troubles where they belong – under our feet.
God gave Jesus all authority in heaven and on earth. Then Jesus turned around and gave it to us – Matthew 28:18-19 – “All the authority of the universe has been given to Me. Now (YOU) go in My authority…”
Jesus is saying, “I’m giving you MY authority so quit waiting around – go use it!!” Like the last post mentioned, we have to DO our part – believe and, in this case, then speak and take our authority.
Another scripture states: “Jesus… gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Then He sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1-2 NLT)
If we are in charge – and we are – then if we don’t say what our authority is and take that authority, we will constantly be behind the devil’s 8-ball. To be “behind the eight ball” is a saying that means, “at a disadvantage, to get or be in trouble or an awkward position…” (comes from pocket billiards or pool).
In order to live SAFE in dangerous times, it is vital we understand that WE have the authority and the right to exercise it. Instead of constantly reacting to the enemy’s attacks, we should be acting first and overcoming him.
Daily we need to claim the protection of the Blood and Psalm 91. I’ve heard people say that it takes “too long” or it’s just “too hard to remember” to do this.
Is it harder to recover from an attack or to stop it in its tracks in the first place? The few minutes it takes to ACT, to “claim the Blood” and read Psalm 91, takes less time that reacting to an attack.
Revelations 12:11 “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony”. Speak out and tell what Jesus died for you to have.

To get an understanding about “claiming” the Blood, this is an excellent resource. The protection stories alone are worth the price of the book. Such supernatural protection – simply because someone claimed or pleaded the Blood. It is a very vital and necessary tool, weapon, during these times we live in. Click on the book cover.
We have to ACT!
I ordered the book. Thanks for recommending it. Looking forward to reading it!
