You Can Lose Your Healing

Pardon me for taking so long to post. I was having computer problems.

I mentioned last time that there are things that can hinder healing. Many times we are taught about healing but we are not taught what can stop it.

I’ve been researching that. Come to find out, there are several things that hinder healing. I’ll only deal with them one at a time.

Number One:  Lack of Word

It is important to be full of God’s Word, especially in the area of healing. You would faithfully take the medicine a doctor has prescribed you. Same with applying God’s Word.

The Word of God is Medicine (Proverbs 4:20-22).  If God says His Word is Medicine, then it means you must put that Word in you.  You must treat it as THE reason you are healed.

There’s a reason the Bible includes the story of a man who was delivered but then became worse than he was to begin with  (Matthew 12:43-45). The enemy always looks for reasons to steal from, kill and destroy us (John 10:10).  Without Word, you are empty and vulnerable.

I know of people who were gloriously healed in a prayer line. I know of those who had hands laid on them and received healing. There were those who received healing through a simple prayer on a phone call with a ministry. Some had a family membier or friend pray for them and they received healing.

And I know people who didn’t do anything else, i.e., put Word in (read their Bible) to maintain that healing.  They didn’t keep taking their Medicine.  Pretty soon they were back asking for prayer (raises hand, too) because the symptoms came back.

It is a life-necessity that you read and study the Word, and get that Word down inside. I remember hearing a preacher once describe it as being and living in the overflow. Be so filled up with the Word that’s all you know and speak.

There’s nothing wrong with going to a doctor.  God is not against it. If you go to a doctor, make the Word default and first place. Take what a doctor tells you WITH the Word of God, not in place of it.

Remember, if you don’t have good teaching about what belongs to you and how to hold fast to it, you can lose your healing.

Take your Medicine daily. Take it until all symptoms are gone. Then take it to maintain that healing. Read it, speak it, live it. It works. We may not, but the Word always works.
