I was reading my morning devotional a few weeks back and the day I read about the power of the Prayer of Agreement (above), I learned something new. The prayer of agreement is actually a weapon of warfare. It is a powerful tool. 

I believe as Christians we have looked at that scripture and thought, “How nice” as if it is a fluffy scripture put there to make us feel good. Let’s look at that verse in the Amplified.

(AMPC)  Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.

One translation says: my Father in heaven will do it for you, will do what you ask. Another: my Father in heaven goes into action.

Here is one of the most powerful things that can be said about that scripture:  JESUS said it.  So if JESUS said it, are you going to argue with JESUS Christ Almighty?  I don’t think so.

Let me give you a few examples of how powerful this weapon is in the hands (mouths) of God’s people. Also realize that if you read your Bible, you know what God can do for you. You will not pray something He can’t do for you (i.e., knock off a co-worker who’s driving you batty).

Leland was waiting for a contract to be signed off on. This means the contract funding is approved and he would be able to start working on projects and billing the contract-owner. It was taking a long time in the process – so long, others were beginning to confess that it would never happen and to just give up on the contract.

Now together we had agreed the contracts were his and we had done communion over this contract. We knew God had told us that these contracts coming available were his and to settle it with communion that it is a done deal.

At the time we had no real understand of the powerful weapon we had as a couple (see verse 20 above). Once we got that revelation – that if we agreed, hat agreement meant GOD WILL DO IT FOR US – we knew we were onto something so powerful that we had not been using as a weapon (2 Corinthians above).

We were questioning “Why is this taking so long” – what we should have been saying is, “This has to come to pass because we agreed it would and God promised that He would bring it to pass.”

After we realized the power behind the Prayer of Agreement and that it HAS to come to pass (if we believe), we repented of our doubt and questioning.  We went back to our notebook that had the contracts we were believing for listed in it.  We laid hands on the notebook and we called on our weapon of warfare, the Prayer of Agreement.  We agreed and we claimed it was a done deal.  God would do this for us.

Actually, we also added that the paperwork would be signed that next week (we were doing this on a weekend). By Wednesday of the next week, the paperwork was signed. This was after a long wait of eight (8) months.  What changed? Our faith and what we believed.

LOOK OUT! We now understand our power as God’s people. He put into our hands a powerful weapon against our enemy. And it works! Just like Jesus said it would.

We are using our weapon on anything we know God said we could have that has either been delayed, or that we’ve been told we can’t have when God said we could, and on pesky sickness symptoms that hang around! The Bible says “anything” so get to believing!*

GOD IS GOOD! Use the weapons He has given you to help manifest the life His son died on the cross for you to have.

*Just remember, you have to know what God made available to you through His Word and the Blood of Jesus. You can’t just willy nilly agree with someone when what they believe is not scriptural. And you can’t be in agreement for something if you don’t really believe it is for you. There are many, many promises so start digging and learn what you can agree with someone for. You will be amazed
