The Real Reason for Christmas

SuperKid2

So few people really understand how to be victorious in every area of life. First Corinthians 15:57 says God gives you the victory through Jesus. You are supposed to be victorious.

The Bible says Jesus came that you might have life, and that have it more abundantly – which sounds passive until you read it in the Amplified Version.  “I came that they may have {and} enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (John 10:10)

Having an enjoyable life that overflows in abundance! An overflowing abundance of peace. An overflowing abundance of wisdom to know what to do at all times. An overflowing abundance of material goods. An overflowing abundance of finances for yourself and to give to others. Overflowing abundance in every area of your life. Wow.

Second Corinthians 2:14a: “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ.”  Triumph: cause to triumph (win over), whatever you need to triumph over. To conquer (for us!). Pay attention to this meaning: to make an acclamatory procession (you will see it explained below).

Colossians 2:15: (Jesus) Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. This is a powerful verse as you will learn.

In those times back then, a conquering King would take his enemy and strip him of all his worldly goods, powers, abilities, AND CLOTHES. He would then march his enemy through the streets, naked. Naked represented the fact the enemy had been stripped of all authority. This let everyone know that this humiliated, disarmed person was a defeated foe, no longer to be feared.

Anything in your life not representing an abundant life – sickness, disease, poverty, or debt – are all foes and they have been stripped of their power over you. Satan has been defeated for us by Jesus. Jesus stripped his power over you. He disarmed him and stripped him. Jesus triumphed then gave us the power to walk in that triumph. It is time to walk in that triumph.

Jesus said to his disciples in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The real word for the power He has given us is AUTHORITY. We are also His disciples and anything He did for them, He did for us. WE have authority over ALL the power of enemy.

You have to choose to be spiritually aggressive and go after what has been given to you. That is why the Bible says you have to “fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12). The devil isn’t going to just sit there and let you have it. No, he will fight you every step of the way, trying to get you to accept less than what the Blood of Jesus purchased for you.

How do you fight? The rest of that verse gives you a hint, “and hast (have) professed a good profession…”. Profession is another word for confession. Your confession is your profession – your job. You fight the lies of the enemy by speaking the Word of Truth – scriptures that are what God says, not what is being whispered into your ears by Satan.

The just (you) live by faith. When you got saved, you were given a measure of faith. It is then your responsibility to build that faith up like a muscle – by getting into your Bible and studying, learning, changing, and growing – then doing.

warrior

Faith isn’t passive – it is aggressive! You are a warrior. You are to use your Bible – the Word of God – as a weapon against the enemy. Just like Jesus did when the devil came to tempt him (Matthew 4), you win the same way – by quoting the Word to anything he says that is contrary to the Word of God (hint: this is why it is important to read your Bible. You won’t know what is contrary to the Bible unless you know what the Bible says).

This is the same way you get saved – you believe, receive and say, “I accept Jesus as my Savior!” This is the same way for healing and prosperity – you believe, receive and say, “I believe Jesus died for me to have an abundant life. I believe this includes healing, health and material prosperity.”

That is one Key to victorious living. Doing things the way Jesus did. Anytime you think anything contrary to what God said, be like Jesus – speak only what your Father has to say about it! Just say what God says!

words blah

It isn’t easy at first. As a matter of fact, you will feel foolish saying something that may be contrary to what you see and feel. It will feel like you’re just saying meaningless words. You may continue feel you are sick and see that you are broke. Keep up that faith talk. Things WILL change.

Second Corinthians 4:18 says it all: …we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

What you see that is contrary to the Word of God is temporary – SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Things not seen are eternal, real. Sickness is temporal, subject to change. Healing, health, is eternal, real, reality. The words of your mouth speaking God’s Words, the Bible, are the controlling factor to the difference between temporal and eternal.

You don’t go by those five physical senses. You are in training to think spiritually, not physically! That would be you, the Just, living by faith! Just say what God says!

Jesus gave His life so you could triumph in every area of life. He died so you could have life more abundantly. He made provision for you to never fail, always conquer and succeed in every area of life.

This holiday season, honor Jesus by accepting the victory He purchased for you by His Blood. Speak Life.

If you are on a PC or something that allows the music to play, there is a video playing on the side bar music box, with the first song, Mary Did You Know. It shows scenes from the movie, Passion of the Christ. It is graphic but it shows the death of Jesus on the cross. THIS is what He did to purchase your freedom. He gave himself. I find it quite powerful and moving. I cry every single time.
